U.S. – OCALA, FLORIDA
Anyone who has ever been curious about the equestrian world will fulfill their fantasies at the new Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, Florida, where riding boots replace stilettos.
The sprawling 380-acre estate features seven restaurants, a spa, a pool, and high-end retail experiences, not to mention weekly equestrian competitions, attracting exhibitors from all over the world.
Custom Design
Mahogany and Italian porcelain cover the Grand Lobby and the entire first floor. Additionally, the property has 20-foot ceilings, 80+ Schonbek Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Worldly inspirations are found beyond the lobby, adorning each of the hotel’s five stories.
Every inch of the European-inspired hotel is carefully designed, custom created for the resort. Guests will find Equestrian subtleties in every corner, from the bit handles on the nightstands to the bridle patterns running through the carpeting in the hallways. More than 120 custom-made oil canvas portraits of dogs hang in guest rooms, hallways, and the main lobby. Dozens more whimsical works of sporting art dress any remaining open spaces.
The Equestrian Hotel features 248 stylishly-appointed rooms and suites, many of which overlook The Grand Stadium. Every single pillow, every chair, and every sculpture is intentional.
Dining at The Equestrian
With seven restaurant concepts on the property, you can satisfy everyone’s taste. Still, your chances of rubbing elbows with the rich and famous are most likely to happen in Stirrups, where the Opus One is flowing, and caviar is bumping.
Roland Micu, the world’s youngest master sommelier at just 28 years old, oversees the 6,000-bottle wine program. It boasts rare vintage releases and multiyear verticals such as Paul Hobbs, Penfolds, Harlan Estate, Chateau Latour, and Chateau D’Yquem.
Custom saddle stools- English and Western style- serve as bar stools around the horseshoe-shaped bar in The Yellow Pony Pub.
Executive Chef Ryker Brown oversees all culinary operations, the pinnacle of which is Stirrups. Brown fuses farm-to-table freshness with an elegant French technique.
