Carneros Resort and Spa

U.S. – CALIFORNIA – NAPA VALLEY

The 28-acre resort invites guests to unwind in private freestanding cottages in wine country.

Situated in Napa Valley’s rural Los Carneros region, Carneros Resort and Spa announces its reopening. To ensure the highest level of protection and comfort for guests and employees, the resort adds new cleaning and safety procedures, including new check-in methods, readily available items for personal protection, and enhanced EPA approved cleaning policies. Additionally, the resort introduces contactless in-room experiences and amenities.

“We are committed to offering an atmosphere that is equally relaxing and restorative and ensuring the collective health and wellbeing of our guests is a top priority,” said Managing Director Edward Costa. “With secluded cottages and an abundance of privacy, Carneros Resort and Spa offers a safe, inviting escape to Wine Country, and we look forward to welcoming guests back to enjoy the world-class pleasures of Napa Valley.”

Surrounded by picturesque countryside and serene rolling vineyards, Carneros Resort and Spa features 103 standalone cottages, residences, and luxury private homes. All cottages are outfitted with expansive private backyards and outdoor living spaces with fire pits, lounge furniture, and a dining area. The two-and-three-bedroom homes are equipped with a gated entrance, gourmet kitchen and dining room, lush courtyard, and rooftop sun deck for added privacy.

New in-room Plum wine dispensers bring a taste of Napa Valley directly to the guest with contactless on-demand wine service. The dispensers automatically preserve, chill, and serve wine-by-the-glass from nearby vineyards, available to enjoy at any time of day. Guests are also encouraged to learn more about the wines they are enjoying with exclusive virtual tastings on the in-room TV Channel. Hosted by Cuvaison Winemaker Steve Rogstad and Bouchaine Vineyards’ Winemaker Chris Kajani, these 10-minute tastings discuss wine, the winemaking process, flavor profiles, and nuances – all from the privacy of the guest’s charming cottage.

Across the resort, the adults-only Hilltop Pool, Otto’s family pool, and the fitness center are open for guests to enjoy with proper social distancing guidelines in place. Outdoor seating as well as dine-in service remains available at Boon Fly Café, with gourmet grab-and-go options offered at MARKET. Beginning Friday, June 12, Hilltop Dining Room will open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for resort guests and pool service, with beverage service available at FARM Pavilion from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The resort’s signature wine country restaurant by Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli, FARM at Carneros, will return on Friday, June 19 with bar service at 4 p.m. and outside and dine-in service at 5:30 p.m.

Carneros Resort and Spa’s reopening standards provide advanced care above CDC and statewide guidelines to ensure the safety of visitors and staff prior to and upon arrival. These measures include:

  • Mobile Check-In: Guests will be greeted at their vehicle by a Guest Service Agent and will receive a sealed key packet for their private cottage. Credit card information will be processed without direct contact with a staff member.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: All guests will receive a sealed bag at check-in that contains face masks and alcohol wipes to be used throughout their stay, with gloves available upon request. Automatic hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed throughout the property, with custom dispensers offered in each cottage and home.
  • Guest Rooms: All rooms will be cleaned ahead of arrival with Electrostatic Sanitizing Sprays, with non-essential items such as magazines removed. Daily maid service will not be provided, and extra linens and towels will be dropped off in sealed bags at the request of the guest.
  • Staff Training: All associates have received training on proper safety and sanitation protocols. Staff will self-administer daily non-invasive temperature checks monitored by management in each department.

Carneros Resort and Spa’s expansive grounds are divided into 17 lush neighborhoods, complete with walking trails and landscaped pathways. With an array of open-air activities available, guests can enjoy cycling, kayaking, hiking, and biking trails within Napa Valley. Complimentary Carneros bicycles are available to use on a first-come-first-serve basis. Should guests wish to visit wineries located just down the road, the resort’s concierge team can assist with private tastings, picnics, and other exclusive experiences.
