The Ranch at Rock Creek

U.S. – MONTANA – PHILIPSBURG

Nestled in one of Montana’s most pristine valleys, The Ranch at Rock Creek offers year-round unique vacations on an authentic 19th-century homestead.

The Ranch at Rock Creek is situated on 6,600 acres of rugged Montana wilderness on the outskirts of Philipsburg. The Ranch offers an array of rustic yet elegant accommodations, including luxury suites in The Granite Lodge, authentic log cabins and historic barn accommodations. Additionally meandering along Rock Creek lie several luxury canvas cabins, often considered the definitive glamping experience.

The property features a 2,000 square-foot spa and a 5,300 square-foot event barn. A variety of year-round outdoor activities are offered, including fly fishing, horseback riding, sporting clay shooting, geocaching, hiking, biking, bowling, and more. Come winter, guests can enjoy on-property snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, and sledding, as well as trips to Discovery Ski Area, a quaint alpine ski destination located just 25 minutes away and equipped with a Ski Concierge available exclusively to Ranch guests.

The Ranch at Rock Creek is affiliated with Relais & Châteaux, Virtuoso Hotels & Resorts, Signature Travel Network, and is the United States’ premier founding member of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World. In 2013, The Ranch at Rock Creek became the first guest ranch in the world to earn the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award. The Ranch remains the only five-star guest ranch in Montana.

As a Relais & Châteaux property, The Ranch has spent the last seven years expanding the frontiers of luxury travel with one-of-a-kind accommodations, extensive amenities, inventive cuisine, and access to over 20 guided outdoor activities on 6,600 acres of mountains, meadows, forests, trout ponds and a mountain-fed creek.

Being hands-on and device-free has never been more fun. The interactive atmosphere ensures personalized experiences while strengthening family bonds.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The 29 one-of-a-kind accommodations, which can host up to 75 guests, are thoughtfully woven into The Ranch’s vast landscape. Ranging in size from one-bedroom suites to five-bedroom homes, The Ranch offers four distinct styles of lodging: Granite Lodge suites, a converted Historic Barn, Luxury Homes, and Canvas Cabins for glamping. The design echoes home more than a hotel – with deluxe amenities, custom furniture, and decor that showcases a distinctive Western heritage.

ALL-INCLUSIVE

The all-inclusive ranch designation is a cornerstone of The Ranch at Rock Creek travel experience. Offered in each stay are all farm-to-table meals, a robust year-round outdoor activities program, experienced staff, and expert guides, and top-of-the-the-line gear based on the idea that 6,600 acres will become a playground for the length of each stay.

ACTIVITIES

An extensive variety of daily on-property activities is available from 9 am to 5 pm. With 10 square miles to discover, guests are encouraged to do two activities per day: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. A personal Ranch Ambassador will help pre-book preferred activities through the Rod & Gun Club.

DINING

The Ranch at Rock Creek kitchen tells a story about Montana stock, wildlife, herb, and harvest. With regionally and locally sourced organic ingredients, Executive Chef Drage’s ranch menus and dining experiences mirror Montana seasonal bounty. Preparation is equal parts mountain tradition and modern palate, often employing a wood fire grill, a Dutch oven, or the full array of a state-of-the-art kitchen.

As a Relais & Châteaux member, the dining experiences reflect the fine art of living. Breakfast and lunch are filled with inventive, varied, and nutritious choices, and each evening guests delight in novel cuisine that aims to elevate Montana’s legendary western past into an intimate and curated cultural experience.
